Two face court over crash death

By Staff Reporter

Police have charged two men over the death of a student in south Belfast last year.

Enda Dolan (18), from Killyclogher in Omagh, died after he was knocked down on the Malone Road by a van in the early hours of October 15.

It later emerged that a crash barrier at the scene had been removed weeks before and not replaced.

The PSNI said the two men, aged 20 and 30, have been charged with offences including causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by driving carelessly when unfit and assisting an offender.

Both men are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on August 4.
