Two fairies surprise Co Down community hero with a washing line of new Christmas clothes

By Amanda Ferguson

A washing line filled with clothing has mysteriously appeared in a Co Down street.

Nina Cristinacce from Bangor, who was recently in hospital,  returned home to find a new Christmas outfit waiting for her, accompanied by a calling card simply stating that the gift had been left by the ‘Two Fairies’.

Magic and Sparkle, the two fairies from M&S, had found out Nina does great work in the community and wanted to treat her as a thank you from all those whose life she has touched.

Nina lives in Bangor with her partner Shane and their five children, Jago, Alex, Ryan, Emma and Cash.

She has been a community helper with Macmillan Cancer Support for nearly two years following a battle with breast cancer and also volunteers at the Assisi Animal Sanctuary.

Nina said:“It was such a surprise to come home to – my partner had taken me out for breakfast and when I came back this amazing treat was here.

"My neighbours were amazed at what happened – it’s a quiet area and things like this don’t normally happen around here.

"I’m so grateful to the Two Fairies for bringing some magic and sparkle to us this Christmas, and I can’t wait to try on my new clothes!”
