Two held over stabbing in Belfast

Two women have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the neck in Belfast.

The incident happened in the Cromwell Road area in the south of the city at around 1.35am on Sunday morning.

The 25-year-old victim was taken to hospital however his injury is not believed to be life threatening.

The two women arrested - aged 27 and 21 - remain in custody.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000 or anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
