Two lorries stolen from Derry quarry

Police are investigating after two lorries were stolen from a quarry in Londonderry.

Police in Limavady are appealing for witnesses following the theft on the Cam Road in Macosquin on Wednesday night.

The two vehicles, a white coloured Scania, VRM KN62RXC and a blue coloured Volvo, VRM PO61LOH were reported to have been stolen from the quarry sometime between 5.15pm on Wednesday night and 9.40am on Thursday.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the theft or anyone who knows of the whereabouts of the lorries to contact officers in Limavady on 101 quoting reference number 230 of 02/03/17.

Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
