Two men, aged 24 and 30 have been arrested after reports of two creeper style burglaries in north Belfast.

Police said at around 6am on Monday September 7, it was reported that entry was gained to a house in the Merryfield Drive area.

A sum of money, a Samsung Laptop, an iPad device and car keys for a grey Honda Jazz car were taken during the incident.

The car was taken from the property and later found locked at the Henderson Avenue area of north Belfast.

Sometime between 8:20pm and 9:30pm on Saturday September 12 it was reported that entry was gained to a property in the Upper Cavehill Road area and a silver VW Eos was stolen from the property.

The vehicle was later found at the Silverstream Park area of north Belfast. Two men were seen by police leaving the vehicle and were arrested at the scene in relation to the incident.

Police are current investigating a link between the two incidents.

The two men were arrested on suspicion of two counts of burglary, two counts of aggravated taking and driving away, disqualified driving and having no insurance. Both are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
