Two men arrested over Jean McConville murder released
Two men arrested by detectives investigating the abduction and murder of Disappeared victim Jean McConville in 1972 have been released unconditionally, a police spokesman said.
A 63-year-old man was arrested in the Forkhill area of south Armagh and a 64-year-old man was arrested in Co Antrim earlier today.
They were both questioned at the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim police station ahead of their release this afternoon.
Today's development brings the total number of people arrested and questioned as part of the investigation to 11.
Mrs McConville, a widow and mother of 10 children, was abducted in December 1972 from her flat in the Divis area of west Belfast.
The 1972 abduction, killing and secret burial of Mrs McConville by the IRA was one of the most notorious crimes of the Troubles.
Her body was recovered on a beach in Co Louth in August 2003.
