Two men charged in connection with aggravated burglary in Dunmurry

Two men have been charged with a number of offences in relation to an aggravated burglary in Dunmurry.

A burglary took place in the Ashley Park area around 2.10pm yesterday. It was reported two men entered a property and took a set of car keys.

When confronted by the occupants of the house, one of the men threatened the occupants.

No one was injured.

The suspects are then believed to have left the property in a white Peugeot 307 belonging to one of the occupants.

The vehicle was then involved in a collision with a white van in the Upper Dunmurry Lane area a short time later.

The driver of the van was treated at the scene by paramedics.

A 27-year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary and stealing, common assault and aggravated vehicle taking.

A 28-year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary and stealing, aggravated vehicle taking causing damage to the vehicle and common assault.

All charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
