Two men injured in Co Down dual carriageway collision
Two drivers have been rushed to hospital after a two-vehicle smash on a busy dual carriageway in north Down.
It happened at around 10.50am yesterday on the Kempe Stones Road, the Newtownards-Dundonald dual carriageway.
Appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash, PSNI inspector Colleen Irwin said: "We received a report that two cars, a blue Audi A8 and a black Kia Picanto had been involved in a collision on the Newtownards to Dundonald carriageway.
"We would appeal to anyone who witnessed this collision or has dashcam footage taken around the time of the incident to get in touch."
The driver of the Kia, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening at this time.
The male driver of the Audi, who is in his 40s, was also taken to hospital. His condition is not known.
