Two men arrested in connection with a pipe bomb attack that took place in Londonderry in January this year have been released.

A suspicious device discovered beside homes in the Earhart Park area of the city was later confirmed to be a viable pipe bomb.

Detectives from the Serious Crime Branch investigating dissident republican activity in Derry arrested two men in the Claudy and Shantallow areas on Thursday.

The men, aged 22 and 29, have been released unconditionally.
