A motorcyclist was seriously injured yesterday in a crash near Ballynahinch in Co Down.

The Air Ambulance was sent to the incident at Spa Road.

"I send my best wishes and those of people within the local area. We are hoping for a speedy recovery."

Meanwhile, a male driver in his 60s was fighting for life in hospital after his Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle was in collision with a Volkswagen Passat in Carrickmore, Co Tyrone.
