Two people taken to Northern Ireland hospital after crashing outside entrance

Two people have been taken to a Coleraine hospital after crashing outside the front entrance.

Two vehicles were involved in a collision outside Causeway Hospital shortly after 6:30pm.

Police and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) attended the scene.

A NIAS spokesperson confirmed that two people were admitted to hospital for treatment.

"Initial reports indicated that two patients were involved and both were conscious and breathing," the spokesperson said.

"NIAS dispatched a Rapid Response Paramedic and 2 A&E crews to the scene.

"After initial assessment and treatment at the scene, both patients were taken by ambulance to the nearby Causeway Hospital."
