Two seriously injured in car crash in Coleraine

A teenage girl and a woman in her 20s have been seriously injured following a car crash in Coleraine.

A black Honda Civic hit a wall on the Ballylagan Road a short distance from the junction of the Cloyfin Road at around 11.25pm on Friday.

No other vehicles are thought to be involved.

The girl and the woman were taken to hospital for treatment. The road re-opened on Saturday morning, after it was closed overnight.

Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who was travelling on the Ballylagan Road around the time of the collision, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit at Steeple Police Station.

Police in Coleraine can also be contacted on the new non-emergency 101 number.
