Police have arrested two suspects over the Victoria Square car bomb.

The men, aged 44 and 45, were arrested in north Belfast and have been taken to Antrim police station for questioning by detectives from Serious Crime Branch.

The bomb partially exploded in Victoria Street, close to Victoria Square shopping centre, on Sunday, November 24.

A terrified motorist was stopped by three masked men in Ardoyne, who loaded his car with a 60kg homemade bomb and ordered him to drive the device to the underground car park at the city centre shopping complex.
