Two people have been taken to hospital following a two vehicle collision on Great Georges Street in Belfast.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to get one of the injured parties from their vehicle.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service has confirmed that two people were taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment following the accident.

Police are advising motorists of long tailbacks on the M2 to Fortwilliam and on the M3 to Dee Street.
