Male occupant uninjured in incident as gang steal sum of money
Police are appealing for information after four-masked men - two of which were armed with weapons - broke into a Co Tyrone home on Monday.
The aggravated burglary occurred around 6pm in a house on Castletown Road, Aughnacloy.
Detectives in Mid Ulster explained that the men broke into the home and ordered the male occupant to lie on the ground, while they searched the property.
They subsequently made off with a sum of money.
Detective Inspector Robinson said: “This was a traumatic ordeal for the victim who was in his own home, a place where he rightly deserves to feel safe. Thankfully, he was not physically injured.
“Our enquiries continue this morning, and we are keen to hear from anyone who was in this area yesterday evening around 6pm and saw any suspicious activity, or has information about what happened to get in touch with our detectives in Mid Ulster on 101 quoting reference number 1560 of 11/01/21.”
