U2 video being filmed in New Lodge area of north Belfast

By Amanda Ferguson

First it was Rihanna. Now U2.

It seems the appeal of the New Lodge area of north Belfast is just too much for music industry figures to resist.

Images of a film crew shoot in the area today have been posted online.

It is understood the footage they are recording is for U2's song Every Breaking Wave.

So far, Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen have not been spotted in the area.

In 2011 Rihanna filmed part of the video for her hit song We Found Love in the New Lodge.

The Bajan superstar also cause quite a stir when she tried to film in Co Down farmer Alan Graham's field.

The DUP councillor was unhappy with the singer's provocative outfit and behaviour and subsequently asked her to leave his land.
