Ulster Tatler founder Richard Sherry has died
The death has been announced of Richard Sherry, who founded Northern Ireland's society and lifestyle magazine the Ulster Tatler.
Mr Sherry set up the magazine in 1966. Inspired by Dublin magazine the Irish Tatler, the Ulster Tatler's mix of fashion, social photography and lifestyle articles proved to be a successful formula, and the magazine is now Northern Ireland's longest-running periodical. The Tatler celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2016.
Mr Sherry, who its understood was in his 80s, passed away peacefully in hospital on Wednesday after a short illness.
He was predeceased by his wife Joan.
His funeral will take place at St Brigid's Church, Derryvolgie Avenue, Belfast on Saturday 23, following 10am Requiem Mass.
The service will be followed by a private burial.
