University of Ulster's build your own Apple App course
Techno geeks will get the chance to learn how to create their very own iPhone applications during a new 12-week course in Derry.
Would-be programmers are being offered the opportunity to acquire the technical know-how by the University of Ulster in what is hoped will eventually deliver benefits to the local economy
Course Director, Greg O’Hanlon from the School of Creative Arts, told the Derry Journal: “Mobile devices like iPhone and iPads are rapidly becoming a staple of everyday living, and more and more content creators are seeking to deploy apps as a gateway to media, entertainment, productivity and information.
The course is being spearheaded to meet the growing demand for developers of the software which powers iPhones and iPads - iOS - and is expected to be followed up with a course on iPad development later this year.
