US actress admits paying $15k to rig daughter's exam
Former Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman has pleaded guilty to paying to rig a college entrance exam for her daughter, as part of what authorities have described as a wide-ranging scandal.
Prosecutors have recommended she serve four months behind bars, according to CNN.
She appeared at a federal court in Boston yesterday holding her brother's hand and said nothing to reporters as she entered.
She admitted a conspiracy charge after paying US$15,000 to have someone secretly correct her daughter's SAT answers.
Huffman is among 50 people accused of taking part in a scheme that involved alleged cheating or bribery.
