UVF shooting of Jemma McGrath: Detectives revisit scene of attempted murder in east Belfast

Detectives investigating the attempted murder of Jemma McGrath, a 24-year-old care worker from east Belfast, have revisited the scene of the brutal UVF shooting.

The young woman was the victim of a brutal gun attack in Lord Street Mews, off the Beersbridge Road, two months ago.

Detective Inspector Ian Magee said: "A 24-year-old woman was shot multiple times in the Lord Street Mews area of East Belfast. She suffered gunshot wounds to her abdomen, both legs and left arm.

"Tonight we are revisiting the scene of the shooting, at a similar time to when the incident occurred on Wednesday 25 September, between 10.15pm and 10.45pm.

"We are distributing leaflets, appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have saw two males in the area, one wearing a grey Adidas hooded top and the other dressed in a black tracksuit, to contact police at Musgrave on 0845 600 8000."

Two men, aged 27 and 28, have so far been arrested, interviewed and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
