Van appeal made over road death of retired businessman

By Staff Reporter

Police investigating a fatal road traffic collision last Friday have appealed to the occupants of a blue van to come forward. Retired businessman Victor Wylie died when the tractor he was driving was involved in a collision with a blue Honda 4x4 on the Moneymore to Cookstown dual carriageway at around 9.30am on July 17.

Inspector Keith Hicks said he is particularly keen to speak with the occupants of a blue workers' van that was in the vicinity of the collision. It is believed this van may have travelled through Cookstown towards Moneymore.

Witnesses are urged to contact Cookstown PSNI or the collision investigation unit in Steeple police station on 101.
