Van Morrison's estranged wife must pay court case costs
The estranged wife of Van Morrison will have to pay court costs after she withdrew a case against her neighbour over sea views from her home.
The Dublin High Court legal row concerned work carried out on rebuilding and landscaping at Michelle Morrison's neighbour's house, Mount Alverno, in Dalkey, which Ms Morrison said interfered with views from her home.
During her evidence Ms Morrison said sea views of Dalkey Island and privacy were important for the singer, who liked to be able to get out of his car and go to the front door without being overlooked. But last month her counsel told the court Ms Morrison had "considered the matter over the weekend and decided she does not wish to proceed with her claim".
It came in the wake of a public statement issued by the Belfast-born legend in which he said he had "no part" in the legal action.
