Vandals force closure of Lagan Weir footbridge in Belfast

Vandals have forced the closure of a bridge across the River Lagan in Belfast.

Workmen were today assessing damage to around a dozen glass panels on the Lagan Weir footbridge that were believed to have been kicked or hammered in by vandals on Friday, October 13.

The decision to close the bridge was taken on safety grounds.
