A viable device has been found amid a security alert in Co Antrim.

A number of homes were evacuated this afternoon.

Army bomb experts were sent to the scene of the incident at Thornhill Drive in Ballyclare.

They said the device found was 'viable'.

All those evacuated have been allowed to return to their homes.
