Victim of Belfast bike crash is named
A motorcyclist who died in a road accident in Belfast at the weekend has been named.
The 19-year-old was Brian Kerr from the east of the city.
The accident happened on Mount Merrion Avenue in Castlereagh at about 10.15pm on Saturday.
Mr Kerr died at the scene. No other vehicle was involved.
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
Alliance councillor Michael Long said the accident had shocked the local community.
“I want to pass on my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the man that was killed in this tragic motorcycle accident,” he said.
“Everyone in the area is in a real state of shock at this terrible tragedy.”
