Video appears to show bandsman sniffing white powder during Belfast Twelfth - Orange Order issue condemnation

The Orange Order has condemned drug use after a video of what appears to be a man in a bands uniform snorting a white powder emerged online.

The video surfaced on social media over the weekend, with the man appearing to take drugs near to a Belfast city centre bar. Responding to the video, a spokesman for the Orange Order said the organisation condemned drug use.

"If this turns out to be a person taking drugs then it is a matter that should be investigated by the PSNI," he said.

"The Orange Institution will offer whatever assistance it can. We would have no hesitation in condemning anyone involved in using or supplying illegal drugs."

Twelfth of July celebrations took place across the province on Thursday to mark the victory of Protestant King William of Orange over Catholic King James II at the Battle of the Boyne.

The PSNI could not be reached on Sunday evening.
