A video showing three people scaling a 100ft crane in Londonderry has emerged online.

Individuals climbing the construction equipment in the Strand Road area of the city.

The footage appears to be shot from near the Victoria Car Park, with the individuals in question ambling along the top of the crane.

The crane is situated on a building site for a three-star Holiday Inn Express Hotel being constructed close to the Peace Bridge.

Local businessman Brendan Duddy, who is developing the site as part of the Duddy Group, told the BBC it was "extremely well secured" and he didn't know how the individuals had gained entry.

"Security is not 24 hours. That might have to be looked at," he said.
