The Belfast Telegraph is a media partner for the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition this year and is running a student diary initiative which will feature six of the qualifying young people’s projects.

Each of the six project teams have been provided with a video camera to record key elements of their journey to the prestigious annual exhibition that is taking place at the RDS in Dublin 12-15 January 2011, and the footage is available to view now.

The exhibition is one of the largest science and technology events in the world and each year thousands of students from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland put forward their ideas to be in with a chance to win one of more than 100 awards.

Graham Sutherland, Chief Executive, BT commented, “I would like to congratulate the students for not only qualifying for the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2011, but also for being selected to participate in the Belfast Telegraph ‘student diary’ initiative. I am looking forward to seeing how the projects progress through the footage on the Belfast Telegraph website and experiencing the projects first hand in Dublin in January.”
