Vulnerable missing woman (68) found dead on Co Down beach

Police confirm body belongs to missing woman Aileen Finch


Police have appealed for information on the whereabouts of a missing 68-year-old woman who they describe as 'vulnerable'.

The woman - who also has restricted mobility due to recent surgery - is believed to have left her home in Ballymartin, south Down sometime in the early hours of January 14.

The PSNI say that they are becoming increasingly concerned for the woman who has not been seen since.

She is described as being 5ft 6in tall, of slim build with short, light brown hair with fair highlights.

It is believed she is wearing a purple windproof jacket, a woollen hat and tracksuit leggings.

Sergeant Kelly Ane Warnock said: “if you have seen a female matching this description or have any information in relation to her whereabouts, please contact us in Kilkeel on 101.”
