The appearance of what looks like a wallaby in a field in Tyrone has left locals baffled.

Northern Ireland has enjoyed something of a heatwave in recent weeks but it is still very different to the natural habitat these furry little creatures are normally found.

Native to Australia, the arrival of the marsupial in Brantry, near Eglish, has left many scratching their heads in confusion.

Passers-by have been stopping to have a look at the creature — but no-one knows how it managed to find its way into rural Northern Ireland from the other side of the world.
