Warning as police search for pipe bomb in Belfast
Police issued a warning to the Belfast public about a possible pipe bomb planted in a north city neighbourhood.
Late on Thursday night police conducted extensive searches in the Glenrosa Link/Upper Canning Street and North Queen Street areas after a report a device had been left in the area.
Nothing was found.
The public was warned not to touch or go near any suspicious object and instead call 999 immediately quoting reference 787 of October 5.
A police spokeswoman on Friday morning said there was no traffic disruption for roads in the area, but the warning still stood.
Last month a viable device forced residents from their homes in the area.
