Railway operator Translink has warned there will be disruption to its train service between Belfast and Dublin.

Major railway infrastructure work is taking place in Lurgan from Saturday, July 27 until Friday, August 23 with over 1.7km of track relayed.

Translink said the work would ensure it maintains overall performance and high safety standards, for both local and cross border services.

Enterprise passengers will be transferred by coach between Belfast and Newry to connect with the train. Portadown passengers will be able to board the Enterprise in the town as normal.

Enterprise Plus seat reservations will be available to book from Newry and Portadown and Corporate Catering services will be available on board.

Enterprise bus substitutions will depart Lanyon Place station up to 15 minutes before published train times.

Timetable and special fares information is available online at www.translink.co.uk/latr or from Translink’s contact centre on 028 9066 6630.

"We apologise to passengers for any inconvenience as a result of these works, which we will aim to complete as quickly as possible," said a Translink spokes person.
