A man killed after a crash on the M1 has been named as 27-year-old Warrenpoint man Karl Heaney.

Two people have been arrested following the crash.

The two-car crash happened on the main Belfast to Dublin road, the A1, at around 11.30pm on Wednesday.

"The PSNI are continuing with their investigations and have appealed for any witnesses who may have seen a black Kia Ceed and a red Kia Rio travelling on the A1. I would urge anyone with information to contact the Police and assist them," a PSNI spokesperson said.

Police are appealing for anyone who was travelling on the A1 and who witnessed the collision or anyone who observed a black Kia Ceed or Red Kia Rio travelling on the A1 to contact local officers in Lurgan or the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting reference 1643 23/05/18.
