Watch: Belfast playpark to be closed for 'some time' after fire
The Avoniel Play Park in east Belfast is set to be closed for "some time" after a fire in the park on Monday.
Local charity Charter NI said the fire would result in the closure of the park.
"How anyone could do this on the first day of Easter holidays is unbelievable," a spokesperson said on Twitter.
"This park will now be closed for some time completely ruining fun for a long of young children."
A Fire Service spokesperson confirmed that one appliance attended the scene and extinguished the fire on Monday evening.
Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
