Watch: Bus lane enforcers stop for 'chat' in middle of road

A Belfast motorist has hit out after capturing video footage of what he claims to be bus lane enforcers engaged in a "chat" in the middle of a lane they are supposed to keep free from traffic.

The footage was captured by the man on the Shore Road out of Belfast at around 3.30pm last Wednesday, June 12.

In the footage it shows two enforcement attendants on scooters stopped in the bus lane and appearing to have a conversation with the person in the detection car - which is sitting in a parking bay.

"If we have to follow road laws then they surely should," said the motorist who asked not to be named.

The Department for Infrastructure and operator NSL were repeatedly asked for comment. Neither responded.

Footage of the incident was caught on a dashcam.
