Inbetweeners star James Buckley has wished a Derry GAA hero “the best of luck” in the All Ireland semi-final this weekend.
The actor - best known for playing gobby schoolboy Jay Cartwright – sent the video message to Benny Heron ahead of Saturday’s big game against Galway.
The Oakleaf forward has emerged as a goal scoring machine for his county club.
“Alright Benny – Benny the Goat – Greatest Of All Time,” the actor said.
“Your football friends - ooh football friends - just wanted to wish you the best of luck in your semi-final at the All Ireland against Galway.
“I’m sure you are absolutely going to smash it.
“I tell you what right, I tell you what.
“If you do well, if you pull it out of the bag, I think we all head down to caravan club to celebrate.”
One of TV’s favourite funny men went on to make a promise too rude to print.
“I don’t know how I can possibly motivate you anymore,” he added.
“Benny, get out there and get the job done.”
Heron has become a cult hero among GAA fans.
He has inspired countless memes, banners and posters including a an A2-sized image featuring the Ballinascreen native with a goat.
