Sinn Fein has released CCTV footage of a masked gunman shooting at the office of MLA Pat Sheehan.
It was reported around 11am on Tuesday, January 8 that bullet casings had been found outside an office premises at Monagh Crescent in Ballymurphy on Monday.
Police attended the scene and recovered the casings, which were taken away for further examination.
A further report was made yesterday of a number of shots been fired at the building by a masked gunman on Thursday, January 3, just before 2.20am.
Nobody was injured in the attacks.
The office targeted belongs to Sinn Fein's West Belfast MLA Pat Sheehan. Mr Sheehan's office was also attacked in a shooting incident in October.
In November police warned Mr Sheehan that a death threat had been issued against him.
Mr Sheehan said that a masked gunman had carried out the attack.
He said the party condemned the attacks "in the strongest possible terms".
"We either stand up to these people or we bend the knee, and we will not be bending the knee," Mr Sheehan said.
"We will not be intimidated, we have lived through years of attacks by loyalists and State forces and these people are not going to deter us from providing a service to the community here in Turf Lodge and the Upper Springfield."
Detective Sergeant Sam McCallum said someone could have been killed in the shootings.
"This was a reckless attack in what is a built-up residential area. Someone could easily have been injured, or worse, by a stray bullet," he said.
"I want to make a number of appeals today. Were you in the Monagh Crescent area around 2am and the time the incident occurred last Thursday morning?
"If you own a dash cam, please check your footage as you may have captured footage of the incident.
"Anyone who has information about this incident is asked to call detectives at Musgrave on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference number 367 08/01/19.
"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
