Weather: Ice warning as Northern Ireland temperatures drop - again

The Met Office has warned temperatures are set to drop with icy conditions returning to Northern Ireland.

A yellow warning has been issued and will be in place between 9pm on Wednesday, March 7, and 9am on Thursday, March 8.

Temperatures will drop to 0C, with occasional showers from from Lough Foyle down to Fermanagh - meaning there is the risk of ice formation.

Patches are expected to form on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.

It is possible recent snowfalls brought by the 'Beast from the East' still lying in some areas could aggravate conditions.

Longer journey times can be expected, and injuries from slips and falls are possible.

Conditions will improve coming into Thursday with sunshine later in the day and a maximum temperature of 8C.
