Weather: Northern Ireland has warm week ahead but it'll be showery

By Nevin Farrell

The outstanding weather is set to continue today with temperatures expected to soar to a sizzling 25C in Northern Ireland.

Yesterday saw many families head for the north coast as the temperature hit 23C.

The Met Office added that today will be "another bright day with some warm sunshine, especially in the west, setting off scattered thundery showers during the afternoon across the south and west".

And it said the outlook for tomorrow to Thursday is: "Showers spreading north overnight, becoming heavy and thundery on Tuesday, then mainly dry and cloudy on Wednesday. Bright with a few showers on Thursday, remaining warm."
