Weather warning: After blazing Northern Ireland sun comes thunderstorms and flooding

Northern Ireland is braced for heavy rain after the Met Office put out a yellow weather warning for floods.

The warning comes as the province is experiencing prolonged sunshine and high temperatures.

The Met Office said between 12am and 9pm on Friday thunderstorms are likely and that there is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly.

Lightning strikes, hail and strong winds are also expected.

This could lead to power cuts as well as train and bus services being disrupted.
