West Belfast: Car is stolen by burglars at knifepoint

A knife was held to a man's face by two men who robbed his west Belfast house and stole his car.

The victim awoke between 4am and 4.30am to find the pair in his room.

Detective Inspector Snoddy of the PSNI said: "The intruders held a knife to the resident's face, demanding money."

They then made off from Glenshane Gardens in the victim's car, a beige Skoda Octavia.

They also stole a sum of cash, a laptop, a Playstation 4 and a sports bag containing clothes, medication and a mobile phone.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about this crime or anyone who is offered similar items for sale to contact them. Detectives can be contacted at Musgrave Police Station on 101, quoting reference 143, 14/7/16.
