West Belfast joyriding: Two men arrested after stolen car crashes into another vehicle

Two men in their 20s have been arrested after a stolen car smashed into another vehicle in west Belfast.

They were held after a stolen Volkswagen Jetta crashed into a red Hyundai i20 as it travelled along the Whiterock Road.

It is believed that the vehicle was stolen from the Joanmount Drive, north Belfast area at around 5.30am on Friday morning.

The crash took place at the roundabout at the Kennedy Way area.

One man who was driving the Hyundai was taken to a nearby hospital for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

Two men arrested - aged 21 and 24 - remain in police custody.
