West Belfast man shot in both knees and ankles in paramilitary-style attack

A man has been shot in both knees and both ankles in a paramiltary-style attack in west Belfast.

The shooting happened at about 6.50pm on Friday evening in Corrib Avenue, off Shaw's Road.

It is believed two men forced their way into a house and shot the man, aged in his 30s.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.
