White van torched in suspected arson attack in Bangor

A white van has been set alight and damaged in a suspected arson attack in Bangor.

It happened in the Clanmorris Close area of the Co Down town in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Shortly before 2.20pm the PSNI received a report a white van parked in the area was on fire.

The Northern Ireland Fire Service attended the scene and extinguished the fire.

There were no reports of any injuries, although extensive damage was caused to the vehicle and its contents.

Anyone with any information about the incident or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area is asked to contact Bangor police station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting the reference 158 with the date 14/07/2018.
