Why it's a small world for these curious railway children

By Amanda Ferguson

Northern Ireland's largest model railway exhibition is on track to start in Co Down next month.

Members of the North Down Model Railway Society are currently busy getting ready for their annual event, which this year is taking place in Bangor on April 12 and 13. David Blachford from the North Down Model Railway Society treated his lucky grandson Henry Bennett and some friends to a sneak peek at some of the many picture perfect railways and trains which will be on show at the exhibition.

He said: "Our largest model railway exhibition, being staged at Bangor Grammar School, will attract enthusiasts from across the province.

"It is open to the public and promises to be a great family day out."
