Windows smashed in race hate crime in Newtownabbey


Two people have escaped injury after three windows were smashed at a house in what police are treating as a racist hate crime.

It happened after 11.30pm on Sunday night in the Cloyne Crescent area of Newtownabbey.

A man in his 30s and a woman in her 40s were in the house at the time but were not injured.

Detective Jim Gurley said: "We are treating this incident as a racially motivated hate crime and appeal for anyone with information to contact us on 101."
