Woman (29) dies following road crash in Fermanagh

A 29-year-old woman has died following a two-vehicle road crash in Co Fermanagh.

The incident happened on Tuesday evening when shortly before 8pm police received a report of a crash on the A4 Belfast Road involving a black Mercedes and a red Ford Ranger.

Speaking about the incident, PSNI Inspector Edel Stinton said: "The driver of the Black Mercedes died at the scene and a passenger in the vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the red Ford Ranger suffered minor chest injuries."

Anyone travelling on the stretch of the A4 near to where the collision happened or anyone with any information that could assist police is asked to contact officers in Enniskillen on the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting the reference 1299 with the date 24/10/2017.
