Woman (36) due in court on fraud charges

A 36-year-old woman is due in court later this month to face fraud charges. 

The charges relate to an incident on December 7 2020 during which an older person was the victim of fraud.

The woman has been charged with fraud by false representation, possession of articles for use in fraud and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

She will appear before Downpatrick Magistrates Court on April 29.

As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

Police have also encouraged members of the public to continue to exercise vigilance with regards to potential scams or fraudulent activity.
