
A 45-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man have been charged with possession of criminal property, after over £100,000 in cash was seized by police in Dungannon on Wednesday.
Police stopped the pair in a vehicle on the Ballygawley roundabout at around 3pm and recovered £102,500 and 14,800 Euros during a search of the vehicle.
Both are due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court on Friday.
In a statement, the PSNI said: “Detectives from Organised Crime Branch have charged a 45-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man with possession of criminal property. Both are due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court on Friday 23 July.
“The charges are in connection with the recovery of a substantial amount of cash following the search of a vehicle at the Ballygawley roundabout on Thursday 22 July.
“We will continue to listen to the concerns of the public and act on any information they provide, so I would encourage people to come forward to report any suspicious activity they see.”
