Woman, 62, held over Crumlin Road gun attack on police is freed

A 62-year-old woman arrested in north Belfast yesterday morning in connection with the attempted murder of police officers has been released.

Three PSNI Land Rovers came under automatic gunfire on Crumlin Road in north Belfast on December 5, 2013.

It is believed at least 10 rounds were fired at the vehicles from over a wall by someone standing on a makeshift platform.

The attack took place close to the loyalist camp at Twaddell Avenue.
